The cross-border cooperation project “Local products for the people”, will mark its kick-off by a full-day event. Focusing on bringing local communities closer to the locally produced food, as well as promoting the regional specialties from the two countries – Hungary and Croatia – and humanitarian and solidarity dimensions of the markets in Pécs and Osijek.
The programme starts in the morning hours with a presentation of local products from Croatia and Hungary at the Osijek market. It will continue with a press conference and a public presentation of the project at an opening conference taking place at the Chamber of Commerce in Osijek.
The conference will be attended by representatives of the City of Osijek and the City of Pécs, and Biljana Borzan, a Croatian representative in the European Parliament, who is currently a member of the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee.
